Special Events in Wayfarers Arcade

30th January - 19th February - Art for Macmillan

From Monday 30th January through to Sunday 19th February artists from around the North West will be exhibiting their artwork and proceeeds from this exhibition will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Anton Dolders will also be giving art lessons in oil, acrylic, pencil and pastel media. Tel: 07749 006213 to speak to Anton.

11th February - 12th February - North West Animal Rescue Display

The members of North West Animal Rescue team rescue, rehabilitate and release wild animals back into the wild within the Lancashire area.

You can see birds ranging from Owls to Hawks and other small animals that have all been either hand reared or rescued as babies so that you can see them close up!

They offer a free service to rescue any injured animal found in Lancashire and have a fully equipped veterinary ambulance.

It is a non-profit fund run by non-paid volunteers and rely purely on donations from the public.

11th May - 12th May - Southport International Jazz Festival

The Wayfarers Arcade really comes alive in May, with live performances under the listed glazed roof, take up a viewpoint on the balcony, or browse the shops and cafes to the sound of live jazz.
