Hana’s a winner at Wayfarers

A CHARITY worker has walked away with £250 worth of jewellery after winning a shopping competition staged by Southport’s Wayfarers Arcade.

Hana Doyle, from Southport, won a shopping spree worth £250 at the famous Grade II listed indoor mall after entering a competition on the Arcade’s revamped website www.wayfarersarcade.com.

The assistant manager at Help the Aged charity shop on Lord Street, chose a bracelet and earrings as her prize from Karmy’s the jewellers.

Hana said: “I was really shocked but delighted to win. I regularly look at Southport websites because I am interested in local news and one of the links took me to Wayfarers Arcade’s new-look website, that’s where I saw the competition and I thought I’d give it a go.

“Although I am no stranger to Wayfarers Arcade, I was really impressed with some of the new shops that have opened since my last visit and the wide range of gifts I had to choose from with my prize money. In fact there is so much choice it was difficult to decide what to have, although I ultimately chose something from one of the Arcade’s long standing shops.”

Hana received her shopping spree prize worth £250, which could be spent in any of the Arcade’s stores, from Yvonne Burns, Wayfarers Arcade manager.

Yvonne added: “Everyone at Wayfarers Arcade would like to congratulate Hana on winning the competition - and I am sure she enjoyed her free shopping spree!

“The online shopping spree competition exceeded all our expectations and we received hundreds of entries to the competition. The competition was a great success as it generated a massive increase in hits to our re-launched website and attracted a huge amount of new visitors to the Arcade.

“There is more information about our stores, news and history on the new website, which will feature regular competitions and giveaways in the future.”
