World Book Day is a celebration of stories specifically aimed at youngsters who love to read along with those that might need some encouragement to pick up a book.

World Book Day is marked in over 100 countries across the World

On 9 March, at Wayfarers Arcade, there is going to be a special event. which has been created to appeal to the widest possible range of children and young people.

Youngsters of all ages and their parents are being invited to go along to Wayfarers on Saturday 9 March and if they wish they can wear the book character outfit they wore to school on World Book Day. On the hour starting at 11am until 4pm So Talented Academy of Theatre Arts (which is based in Wayfarers) will be presenting engaging storytelling and their young actors will bring the stories to life in an entertaining way.

There will be stories from Aladdin, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Peter Pan and each session will last between 20 and 30 minutes.

There is no charge, everyone is welcome whatever age and there is no need to book. Joining in with So Talented to celebrate World Book Day at Wayfarers Arcade gives young people the opportunity to have some of their favourite stories brought to life.
