7 JUNE 2016 – 17 JUNE 2016 Wayfarers Shopping Arcade is presenting a unique exhibition to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s very special birthday.

Between 7th and 17th June you will be able to see a costume from each decade of the Monarch’s life displayed in the grandeur of the historic Wayfarers Shopping Arcade.

The exhibition will start from 1920s and continue right up to the present day.

The earlier costumes are kindly on loan from The Atkinson and an outfit from Beales department store’s summer collection will take us up to the present day.

From the early years you will see a black beaded flapper dress from the 1920s, a wedding dress from the 1940s and a very apt Horrockses day dress from the 1950s which says ‘Elizabeth Regina 1953’ in small repeating print.
