The Fall of Icarus

The Classical Greek myth of Icarus has always fascinated me.

It brings to mind my mum telling me that pride comes before a fall! The story could be interpreted in various ways depending on individual perception. It could be read as a metaphor for freedom, ambition, courage, tenacity, or conversely for failure, mortality and a reminder of the fragility of life.

For me it is a timeless and thought provoking subject.
